Elliot Alderson, a brilliant but troubled cybersecurity engineer living in New York City, works as a security specialist by day and as a vigilante hacker by night. Struggling with social anxiety, depression, and dissociative identity disorder, Elliot becomes entangled with an underground group of hacktivists known as "fsociety". Led by the mysterious Mr. Robot, the group seeks to bring down one of the world’s largest corporations and expose corruption. As Elliot dives deeper, he faces blurred lines between reality and illusion, questioning who he can trust — including himself.
